Dr. Paramasivam Murugan is a microbiologist, innovator, and entrepreneur specializing in sustainable biotechnology and bioplastics. As Founder & CEO of Terrapha Biotech LLP and Aurapha Private Limited, he leads the development of next-generation eco-friendly materials and microbial technologies addressing global environmental and industrial challenges.
With a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Universiti Sains Malaysia, he brings extensive expertise in microbial fermentation, biopolymer synthesis, and industrial biotechnology, with a strong focus on Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA)—biodegradable bioplastics derived from renewable resources
With experience spanning academia, industry, and entrepreneurship, Dr. Murugan has led innovations across bioplastics, wastewater treatment, agriculture, and bio-based production systems. His work bridges research, scale-up, and commercialization—enabling real-world adoption of sustainable technologies.
